Lisa Parrott is a local music treasure. She has moved from Lake Macquarie to New York, the toughest jazz nursery in the world, and established herself as one of the leading baritone and alto saxophone players in jazz.
Lisa has been in the US for the past two decades working with a number of prominent acts. She is consistently being mentioned in DownBeat Magazine's Critics and Readers Polls winning the 2016 annual DownBeat Critics poll in the 'Rising Star' category for baritone saxophone. Lisa's playing has been featured on over 30 albums and her performance credits include such notable musicians as Dave Brubeck, Nancy Wilson, Diane Shuur, Johnny Mandel, Skitch Henderson and the New York Pops.
Lisa's latest album, 'Round Tripper' received great reviews, including 4 stars in Downbeat and JazzTimes, and a 4.5 star review on allaboutjazz.com.
Joining Lisa for this special night are long time collaborators Cameron Undy and Carl Dewhurst.
