Experience a night of bold reimagining's and creative interpretations of the American Songbook, brought to life by a group of creative voices. This exceptional ensemble breathes new life into some of the greatest melodies ever written-an inspired take on the classics featuring guest vocalist Magdalena Mira.
Ben Hauptmann is a prestigious touring and session guitarist based on the Central Coast NSW. Winner of the 2010 Freedman Jazz Fellowship and 2nd place winner in the National Jazz Awards at the Wangaratta Festival of Jazz 2007. He has shared the stage with a diverse and impressive range of artists including Gurrumul Yunupingu, Paul Kelly, Donny Benet, Bandaluzia Flamenco, James Morrison and Tal Wilkenfeld. He is a lecturer at The Jazz Music Institute in Brisbane and University of Newcastle and is currently touring, recording and performing with Vika & Linda Bull, Justine Clarke, Katie Noonan,Justine Clarke and Martha Marlow, to name just a few.
