About the Event
This exciting new local jazz quartet led by 20yo saxophonist Ben Rowney grew out of the Thursday Jazz Jams. Ben is currently studying Jazz at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and has been a regular star at our Thursday Jazz Jams . The Benny Rowdy Quartet will showcase some of Newcastle's young talent, performing a collection of their favourite jazz music including classic swing, bebop, contemporary Australian jazz, fusion, funk, groove and original compositions. Expect sharp and youthful energy.
