About the Event
Barlow has long been one of the leading lights of Modern Jazz in Australia - as well as his illustrious international career with greats such as Art Blakey, Cedar Walton, Chet Baker and many more. Andrew Dickeson is one of Australia’s busiest and most prominent drummers and band leaders and has worked with a veritable “who’s who” of Australian and International jazz legends. Their working band joins them with two of Australia’s finest musicians: Hugh Barrett on piano and Jacob Graham on bass. This will be a night of cooking “Hard Bop” rarely heard in Sydney. The band will be featuring classic tunes from Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers, Cedar Walton and more, some classic standards, as well as some beautiful original music.
