About the Event
After five years overseas, master saxophonist Dale Barlow come to The Underground on January 10 - leading a band of long-term musical collaborators. Barlow has long been one of the leading lights of Modern Jazz in Australia - as well as forging an illustrious international career with greats such as Art Blakey, Cedar Walton, Chet Baker among many.
This special night for NIMA reunites Dale with some of Australia’s finest in Warwick Alder - trumpet, Andrew Dickeson - drums, John Harkins - piano and Brendan Clarke - bass.
This will be an unmissable night night of exciting, swinging “Hard Bop” of the highest order.
