About the Event
Originally from Albury NSW, Matt Cross is a multi instrumentalist now based locally in Newcastle, in which he now calls home.
He moved to Newcastle in 2014 to achieve his Bachelor of Music, majoring in jazz piano. Matt is a regular performer in several bands locally and nationally, but takes great pride performing his own instrumental compositions, in an intimate jazz setting/improvised. His songs take strong inspiration from artists such as Herbie Hancock, Cory Henry, Cory Wong and John Scofield.
