About the Event
Cairns guitarist Mike Price is joining forces with a super creative rhythm section of Daryl Pratt on vibraphones, Cameron Undy on bass and Nick McBride on drums to deliver a modern, dynamic mix of contemporary classics and originals powered by decades of high‑level performance in Australia and around the world .
With a career spanning nearly forty years guitarist Mike Price has an extensive performance and education background both in Australia and the USA. From 1990 to 2013 he worked at the Australian National University as a lecturer, senior lecturer and Head of Jazz Studies.
Daryl Pratt is a former head of percussion at the Sydney Con (1991 – 2020). His performance spans elite jazz and classical genres. Noted collaborations include with The Australian Art Orchestra (1994-2001), AtmaSphere (1991-2003), the Chad Wackerman Group (1997-2006) as well as Daryl’s own group Sonic Fiction.
