Steph Russell Band

Steph Russell is a fierce, ardent musical force. Born and raised in Newcastle, Steph presents herself as a modern jazz artist, showcasing a unique blend of soul, folk and contemporary jazz, and spreads her versatile, sophisticated musical style nationwide. Steph earned the nationally-recognised ‘Generations in Jazz’ Vocal Scholarship and has worked amongst many internationally-acclaimed artists including Paulini, Vanessa Amorosi, Kate Ceberano, Shannon Noll, Christine Anu, John Paul Young, Patti Austin, Jazzmeia Horn, Emma Pask and James Morrison, as well as the cream of Australia’s current crop of jazz musicians.

Steph performs at many large-scale arena events as well as more intimate venues around Newcastle and Sydney. Steph was featured in the Sydney International Women’s Jazz Festival in 2017 and is a regular at the Newcastle Jazz Festival.
