Newcastle-based trumpeter/composer Tom Avgenicos leads his long-standing quartet Delay 45 to launch their fourth album 'I’ll Go Where You Go'. Delay 45 is led by trumpeter Tom Avgenicos, in close collaboration with pianist Roshan Kumarage, bassist Dave Quinn, and drummer Ashley Stoneham.

Their album showcases Delay 45’s distinctive voice, shaped by years of close collaboration, friendship and deep musical trust. One of Australia’s most forward-thinking ensembles and drawing on a wide palette of influences ranging from hip hop and minimalism to contemporary jazz and free improvisation, the album features mostly short motifs, melodies and forms that provide the platform for dynamic textural interplay. The result is that the band's collective musical identity comes to the fore, a fine balance between precision and openness, where structure dissolves into spontaneity and familiarity gives way to exploration.
